Dodging a Bullet by the Power of Prayer

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

Life has given me lots to write about lately. Last Friday, my doctor scheduled surgery to repair a severed nerve from a serious laceration on my hand. I prepared myself for going under the knife and asked family and friends to pray for me.

Apparently, pray they did. Over that weekend, my numb finger started burning. Then feeling began coming back! My husband simulated the doctor's prong test with toothpicks. I was feeling the pokes on the base of my finger and up to the first knuckle.

Monday I called the doctor and he was skeptical. He wanted to see me the next day and was not ready to cancel the surgery. He retested me and I passed his test on all but the tip of my finger.

He admitted, with great surprise, "You're right!"

And he cancelled the surgery.

I'm so relieved, grateful, and truly ecstatic that so many were praying for me. I sat down (I've been doing a LOT of sitting down with my broken foot) and I made a list. Over 50 people had prayed for me!

Now that, my dear friends, is the power of prayer.

To all of YOU who prayed for me -- MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!! I appreciate YOU!

"But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!" John 15:7

God Bless You All!

Dianne
