"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Are you looking for your four-leaf clover this St. Patrick's Day?
One full year into Covid-19, we're tired of rules and restrictions and cancellations and masks and politics and fear and sickness and death.
But while Covid-19 is new, political division and frightening futures have marked history since the beginning of time.
Back in Old Testament days, Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. He also wrote the book of Lamentations as he lamented the state of his nation in his time.
Yet he shared this: God's plan for His people is to PROSPER us and not to harm us. To give us HOPE and a FUTURE.
In times of uncertainty, we can be certain of this: God is a good, good Father. He loves His children very much. While we may suffer on this earth, He has big plans to prosper us.
Forget four leaf clovers and lucky charms. Our Lord and Savior is all we need and so much more!
Consider this earth our temporary home. Remember, our Father is preparing a beautiful home for our future.
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you."
John 14:2 KJV
